Ingredients
  

To Chickens:

  • 2 large boneless non-skinless poultry breasts (about 1-2 lbs)
  • Salt and pepper as desired
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder optional

For Alfredo sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • Freshly grated 1, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves of garlic chopped
  • Black pepper and salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian flavoring or chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • To make you to prepare the noodles:
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • Salt for pasta water

Additional add-ins are available:

  • ½ cups of steamed broccoli for chicken broccoli Alfredo recipe
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning for Cajun chicken fettuccine Alfredo recipe
  • Fresh lemon juice or zest for a mild taste optional

Instructions
 

Step 1: Cook the Chicken

  • Sprinkle chicken breasts in salt and pepper as well as garlic powder (if you are using).
  • In a large pan in which you can cook the chicken, heat butter or olive oil on a moderate temperature. The chicken should be cooked for 5 to 7 minutes per side at least until it is golden and its internal temperature has reached 160degF (74degC). Remove the chicken from the pan and allow it to rest for 5 minutes before cutting into strips.
  • Tips: For extra flavor think about making cooked chicken and Alfredo sauce leftovers, or Rotisserie chicken.

Step 2: Cook the Fettuccine Pasta

  • While the chicken is cooking, prepare a large pot of salted water to a simmer. In the meantime, add spaghetti in the order per the instructions on the package (usually 10-15 minutes) until it is all in a bite.
  • Reserving one cup of the pasta's water. Then rinse the pasta and put it aside.

Step 3: Make the Alfredo Sauce

  • In the same skillet that you used to cook your poultry, heat butter on medium-high temperature. Add minced garlic, and cook for approximately 1 minute or so until it becomes fragrant.
  • Pour into your thick cream. Bring to a boil, then cook for about 2 minutes, stirring often.
  • Slowly whisk in the fresh chopped Parmesan cheese until it is smooth and smooth. Add salt and pepper as desired.
  • Incorporate the pasta water that you saved in order to reduce the thickness of sauce until your preferred consistency.
  • Tips: For the most delicious Alfredo sauce for chicken Always use fresh grated Parmesan. Grated cheese that has been pre-grated can result in the texture to be grainy.

Step 4: Combine and Serve

  • Cook the fettuccine and add it to Alfredo sauce and toss gently to cover. Place the chicken sliced over the top.
  • If you'd like to, sprinkle on fresh chopped parsley and a pinch of Parmesan or a splash of lemon juice to add a zing.
  • Serve immediately and have fun!
